Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.Proverbs 16:18

Pride says, "I don't need God." It convinces us we are self-sufficient and deserve credit for what He gave us. Humility, on the other hand, acknowledges that every good thing comes from God and that we are all equally in need of His grace.

Reflect

Where has pride crept into your life this week? What would it look like to walk in humility instead?

Prayer

Lord, expose any pride in my heart. Help me walk in humility, knowing that apart from You I can do nothing. Keep me dependent on Your grace. Amen.
