Mile 01 · Who we are
A congregation that moves 60 mph.
Church for Truckers started in a truck stop parking lot with three drivers, a thermos, and a Bible on a tailgate. We grew because the road is full of people who love God and can't make a 10 a.m. service in a building three states away.
So we built church around the schedule you actually keep. Services stream live and stay up all week. Small groups meet by phone at 8 p.m. in whatever time zone you're rolling through. And when it's 3 a.m. on I-80 and the cab feels very quiet, somebody answers the prayer line.

Common questions
I haven't been to church in 20 years. Is that a problem?
About half of us said the same thing once. Nobody's checking attendance records. Show up, drink the coffee, see how it sits.
What if I'm mid-route on Sunday morning?
The service stays posted all week, and the Wednesday 8 PM check-in call catches everyone who missed it. Church here fits your log book, not the other way around.
Do I have to give money?
No. The offering is for members who call this home. Guests should keep their wallets in their pockets — seriously.
Is the prayer line really answered at 3 AM?

Three drivers, a thermos, and a tailgate.
Church for Truckers exists because 3.5 million Americans keep this country stocked and fed — and almost none of them can make a Sunday service in a building. So we brought the building to the road.
2020 · MM 0
The parking lot
Ray Delgado, fourteen years an owner-operator, starts reading scripture off a tailgate at a truck stop with two other drivers waiting out a reset. Word travels the CB faster than any church bulletin.

The phone bridge
Winter kills the tailgate meetings, so church moves to a conference line. Turns out a congregation that can't see each other prays harder. Eleven drivers become sixty.

The livestream
First Sunday broadcast from a borrowed sanctuary. Chat fills with mile markers instead of amens: "I-40 near Amarillo." "US-2, Montana." "Parked in Laredo, engine off."

The prayer line
A driver in Wyoming calls a group leader at 3 AM instead of doing something worse. That call becomes a 24/7 prayer line staffed by retired drivers who know exactly what the overnight cab feels like.

Members in 38 states, chaplains at truck stops in four, eleven phone groups, six years of Sundays without a missed broadcast. Still zero pews.
What we believe
The historic Christian faith, stated plainly enough to read at a fuel stop.
The Bible
God's word, trustworthy for the whole route — doctrine, correction, and direction included.
Jesus
Fully God, fully man, crucified and risen. The only load that was ever hauled for someone else's account — yours.
Grace
You can't out-drive your past, and you don't have to. Salvation is a gift, not a settlement for miles logged.
Community
Nobody hauls alone. The church is a convoy — different rigs, same direction, watching each other's blind spots.

Pre-Trip Inspection
You don't pull out of the yard without walking the rig. Lights, tires, brakes, coupling — every morning, same loop, because what you don't catch at the yard catches you at speed.
Scripture says God's mercies are "new every morning." Not refilled weekly. Not annual like a DOT inspection. Every morning there's a fresh set waiting, because He knows yesterday's mercy got used up on yesterday's road.
So here's the discipline: before you check the rig, check the driver. Thirty seconds. Where's the anger sitting today? What's the worry with low tread? Walk your own loop and hand God the defects. He's the only mechanic who fixes things before they fail.
Pray it at the pump: "Lord, inspect me before the road does."
