Forgiveness does not mean what happened was okay. It means releasing the person who hurt you from the debt they owe — just as Christ released you from yours. Unforgiveness is a prison we build for ourselves. When we forgive, we experience freedom.

Who do you need to forgive — not for their sake, but for your own freedom?
Prayer
Jesus, You forgave me when I did not deserve it. Help me extend that same forgiveness to others. Free me from bitterness and give me a heart like Yours. Amen.
