Courage is not the absence of fear — it is action in the presence of fear. The promise is not that the scary thing disappears. The promise is you will not face it alone.

Reflect

What are you afraid of right now? Can you picture God standing next to you in it?

Prayer

Father, when fear comes, remind me that You are standing right next to me. Give me courage. Amen.
