Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.James 1:12

The crown goes to those who endure. Not to those who never suffered, but to those who suffered and kept going. The trial is the test, and passing the test comes with a crown — the crown of life — promised by the One who wore a crown of thorns for you.
