Not What I WillMark 14:36
No. 351"Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."Mark 14:36
This is the prayer of Gethsemane — the most honest prayer ever prayed. Jesus didn't pretend. He asked for what He wanted. And then He surrendered to what God wanted. This is the model: honest request + surrendered will. Both together.
Reflect
What cup are you currently asking God to take from you? Can you add the second line — yet not what I will, but what You will?
Prayer
Abba, Father — take this cup from me. And yet, not what I will but what You will. I trust Your plan over my preference. Amen.
