The God of Elijah2 Kings 2:14
No. 332
He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. "Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?" he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left.2 Kings 2:14

Elisha asked the right question: where is the God of Elijah? Not where is Elijah — the man is gone. But the God who worked through Elijah is still here. The waters parted again. The same God who showed up in previous generations shows up in yours.

Reflect

What moves of God in history or in your own past give you confidence that He will show up again?

Prayer

God of Elijah, You are still the same God. Do what You did then — in my generation, in my situation. I believe You still divide the waters. Amen.
