I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation.Philippians 4:12

Contentment has a secret. Paul learned it — it wasn't natural to him either. The secret is found in verse 13: through Christ who gives strength. Contentment isn't about having the right circumstances. It's about having the right source regardless of circumstances.

In what situation do you struggle most with discontentment? What would "through Christ" look like as the source of contentment there?

Lord, teach me the secret of contentment. In need and in plenty, let Christ be my sufficiency. Amen.
