David uses a specific phrase: the land of the living. Not just in heaven, not just in eternity — but here, now, in this life. He expects to see God's goodness while he's still alive. That's active faith, not resigned patience.

Reflect

Do you expect to see God's goodness in your current situation, in this life, before it's over? That expectation is faith.

Prayer

Lord, I am confident of this: I will see Your goodness — here, now, in this life. I watch for it with expectation. Amen.
