Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.Romans 12:2

Conformation is passive — it happens to you if you don't resist. Transformation is active — it happens through deliberate renewal. The default setting for a believer who doesn't intentionally renew their mind is slow, invisible drift toward the world's patterns.
