Humans rank by what they can see — appearance, achievement, status. God looks at the heart. David was the youngest, least impressive son — and God chose him because the heart was what mattered. This cuts both ways: you can't fake it before God, and you're not disqualified by what others see.

What is the current state of your heart — honestly, before God who sees it fully?

Lord, You see my heart. I don't hide it from You. Search it, know it, and change what needs to change. Amen.
