The old covenant was written on stone — external, imposed, breakable. The new covenant is written on hearts — internal, transformative, living. God doesn't want people who follow rules reluctantly. He wants people who want what He wants because He's changed what they want.

Is your obedience to God more external compliance or internal desire? What might need to change about that?

Lord, write Your law on my heart — not just my behavior. Change what I want so that I want what You want. Amen.
