The Lord My RockPsalm 18:2
No. 240The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.Psalm 18:2
Rock is the most stable, unchanging geological feature. It doesn't shift with the weather, bend with the wind, or move with the tide. When David calls God his rock — he's contrasting God with everything else in his life that was unstable. God is the immovable beneath your feet.
Reflect
What in your life is currently unstable? What would it look like to consciously stand on the Rock instead?
Prayer
Lord, You are my rock. When everything around me shifts, I plant my feet on You. You do not move. Amen.
