David wrote this when his own son was trying to kill him — fleeing for his life with head literally bowed. And he says: You lift my head. When shame, defeat, and betrayal press your head down, God is the One who lifts it back up. He restores dignity.

Reflect

Is there something pressing your head down right now — shame, failure, grief? Let God lift it.

Prayer

Lord, lift my head. In the middle of what is crushing me, restore my dignity and remind me of who I am in You. Amen.
