Devotionals - Five minutes at the pump

Fuel-stop devotionals.

Written to be read in the time it takes to fill two tanks. A new one every day, drawn from a year's worth of readings — scripture, a thought to chew on, and a prayer.

Sheep Without a ShepherdMatthew 9:36
No. 148
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.Matthew 9:36

Jesus looked at the crowds — not with judgment, not with frustration — but with compassion. Harassed and helpless. If He looked at your city, your school, your neighborhood, He would see the same. And feel the same. Does it move you?

Reflect

Who in your world is harassed and helpless? How could you reflect the compassion of Jesus toward them this week?

Prayer

Jesus, give me Your eyes to see the people around me — not as problems, but as sheep who need a shepherd. Make me part of Your answer. Amen.
