Slow to AngerJames 1:19-20
No. 141
Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.James 1:19-20

Human anger — the reactive, defensive, ego-driven kind — doesn't build anything good. It damages relationships, clouds judgment, and produces regret. Slowness to anger isn't weakness; it's one of the most difficult forms of self-mastery.

Reflect

In what situation or with what person do you most struggle to be slow to anger? What's one thing you could do differently?

Prayer

God, slow me down before I react. Give me the pause between feeling and speaking that prevents damage. Amen.
